Introduction

Hello, teacher friends! I am Markie and this is my new website, Markie Sparks. The sparks term is a reference to a nickname my grandmother has for me, and the hope that this will be a collection of idea sparks based on what I’ve learned over the past eight years of my career as a tech coach. 

These sparks will include pedagogy concepts and stories, technical walkthroughs, and products based on what I’ve created for teachers I’ve worked with and the elementary computer classes I taught. 

My thought is that these sparks will be a scrapbook of sorts to help me remember all I’ve learned as my career changes, and hopefully to share a handful of helpful tips with others who stumble across these posts.
